Hi Friends,

WP Archive-Sitemap Generator plugin generates simple `Archives/Sitemap` based on your blogs posts and pages. This is not another XML sitemap plugin, but rather a nice post sitemap or page sitemap generator. Now user can show total comments count after posts.

Try this out and suggest more options. Report your all bugs here (hope none ;) ).

If you find this plugin useful, please consider making a small donation to help offset my time and the routine expenses of operation of this website. Thanks for your kind support! – Arpit Shah

Features

  • NEW: Comment count option for posts added
  • Admin panel option (Settings->Archive-Sitemap) available.
  • Very easy to use. Just add “ to page/post under HTML section.
  • Generates Pages and Posts archive-sitemap.
  • Post sorting option available.
  • Page archive option available.
  • Page Navigation option added for posts on sitemap (in v0.9.7).
  • User can specify number of posts/page (in v0.9.9).
  • More features in next releases, please stay tuned.

  • I just found that the problem was because I was viewing the sitemap page in preview mode. It works fine once the page is published.

The only problem now is that it is a but hard for users to use as so many pages (see under the Home menu). Having a drill down by category would be great. Are you planning to add that feature?
  • Yes. Its in my action list. But don't know about timeframe yet.
  • Works on the first page, but subsequent pages of the sitemap don't work. They show the whole posts rather than just the titles.
  • Hey bro,

Shortcodes my friend. Better than that snippet. And no switching to HTML editor necessary.

Also, use the Help tab at the top for implementation support so your users don't have to go here to find out how to use it.

Keep rocking those plugins, from one developer to another.
  • Hi. I'm new to WP and I'm using the latest. Just wanted to ask where and how do I exactly put this <!--wp-archive-sitemap-generator--> on my html? Thanks
  • You can put it in the HTML section of your POST or PAGE.

I've installed without any problem, and click updated button.... but still can't find where the sitemap is... I wanted to add the sitemap link in to your All in One Webmaster in the Automatic Sitemap Submission..... where can I find the link that the plugin created?

    Thanks in advance
  • To use All in One Webmaster's Automatic Sitemap Submission option you need to generate XML sitemap. Use Google XML sitemap plugin (I'm using that). Blog sitemap and Google XML sitemaps are two different things.

    1) Blog Sitemap: http://arpitshah.com/sitemap/ (by WP Archive-Sitemap Generator) - For visitors to show all posts/pages (best plugin)
    2) XML Sitemap: http://arpitshah.com/sitemap.xml (by Google XML Sitemaps)

You need to provide sitemap generated in option 2.

I hope this will help you.
    Thanks..

    thanks again for your help!!

    Got it now!

    Congratulations for your fantastic plugins
  • Hi, your plugin works great in my pages and blog posts. Though, I was wondering if there was a way to add your plugin to my theme's 404.php page? It would be nice to add a sitemap in my 404.php page. :) Thanks.
